Today in class - Expression Orale

Here is a list of situations which you have to classify from the most immoral to the least. In the first 15 minutes or so, do it on your own, marking them from 1 (most immoral) to 10 (least immoral), and try to think of the arguments to defend your choice, for example a situation in which it would be acceptable to do such a thing, or on the contrary the reasons why to deem such a thing acceptable would make life in society impossible, etc... After that, propose it to the others. You must reach a consensus on an order that is acceptable to all. If you do so before the appointed time, think of one (or more) item which would be more immoral than the one you ranked first, and one (or more) less immoral (but still illegal) than the one you ranked last.

A. Kidnapping and holding a child for ransom.
B. Politicians, to get money for themselves, using their influence to get a law passed which they know to be against the publicĂsd interest.

D. Buying stolen goods.
E. Newspapers treating crime as news so as to make a known criminal appear heroic.
