Week 3

In-class activity 1:  Final preparations for oral exam

In-class activity 2:  Read the corrections on your paper from last time.  Then, make a chart like this:

  • Types of mistakes - conjugation, spelling, sentence structure, vocabulary, unecessary "to," make vs. do, pluralization, missing words...
  • Include every correction marked in red on your chart.
  • Write a short summary at the end of the chart: what is your most common mistake?  Which mistake do you think is the most important to fix NOW?
In-class activity 3:  Complete the following activities.  KEEP THE FINISHED ACTIVITIES OPEN in separate tabs (see picture).  At the end of the class, show me all the tabs by clicking through each one.  You should redo activities on which you receive a grade lower than 70.

If you have enough time after the activities, begin to sketch an outline of your English resume.  Follow the instructions here.

Homework (1): Make sure you have been meeting with your "filleul."  The Parrainage paper is due on March 28 and must be 2 pages, double spaced, typed.  Remember to include your personal experiences with your filleul.

Homework (2): Create your CV in English.
