*The Dixie Chicks are a band from Dallas, Texas who were boycotted by radio stations after insulting George Bush at a concert abroad.  They also received death threats because of their statements.  In a song (below) written in response to those threats, lead singer Natalie Maines says, "It's a sad, sad story when a mother will teach her daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger."  What examples exist of blind hatred in the world?

PS: "Make nice" is a term used by adults when they want children to stop fighting. ("Stop hitting your sister, say you're sorry and make nice right now!")  Another phrase to use after a fight is "forgive and forget," that is, accept the apology and don't hold the event against another person.
